In 1979, I received my Master of Fine Arts degree in graphic design and painting at Ohio University and moved to Houston, Texas. I was hired by billboard advertising companies to be a production painter of billboards and signage. While painting these advertisements, I had an idea... If my paintings were done with the same materials as my billboards, they could be displayed indoors and outdoors.
Several hundred paintings later, my "outdoor paintings" have gained acceptance and popularity with the public. I also have been commissioned many times to create my flower paintings for private and public collections.
For my 2018 series, I will be focusing on Texas wildflowers and the recovery of Hurricane Harvey. Hope you enjoy!
